I’m an English Creative Writing major and Journalism minor at Loyola University Chicago. I enjoy writing about my local music scene in Chicago, interviewing bands, and attending shows (pre-Covid) regularly. I also love writing poetry and hope to release a collection of my poems soon. Lastly, I try to dedicate a lot of my time to social justice work and activism.

Kathryn is a 22 year old college graduate. Originally from California, she moved to Chicago to pursue a degree in business marketing.  During her college years, she spent most of her time as an on campus radio DJ. She enjoys hiking, traveling, listening to music, going to concerts, and trying to learn Italian.

I love finding new music (somewhat proud creator of 200+ playlists), reviewing records and shows, and getting to talk to people about the stories behind their records and anything else I can think of.

Bio: Hi! My name is Andrea, I'm 19 years old, and currently studying Communication and Visual arts. Born, raised, and living in Guadalajara, México. Most of my free time is spent listening to music, watching movies/series, reading, and writing. I dream of working in the music and film industry. Slowly, I have been making my path in those industries and hoping to learn more daily.

Isi Buckley(they/them) is a conceptual artist from Columbus, GA, now based in Southern California. Buckley received their B.F.A in both photography and graphic design from the Savannah College of Art and Design. Their pieces primarily work to conceptualize the world around them, often making projects relating to gender and sexual identity, mental health, and the human experience. When not making pictures, Buckley can be found listening to music, watching films, and enjoying nature. 

I'm a recent college graduate and just moved to Nashville, TN! You'll probably find me at a concert or driving with the windows down blasting sad Taylor Swift songs. A fun fact about me is that I've seen 75+ bands in concert and am always down to go to a show.

Hey! I’m Tuana. I’m a 20-year-old student currently living in Istanbul. I love photography, cinema, graphic design, and of course..music! My pretentiousness in high school led me to be a last.fm user, discover underground artists, and follow the music magazines. I spent most of my money on film festivals and concerts. I love both graphic design and music so I am so happy and excited to be illustrating for a music magazine! Some of my favorite artists are Big Thief, Sleater-Kinney and Elliott Smith.

Giliann Karon is a Washington DC based writer and self-described "Tumblr veteran." Originally from Cleveland, she spent her most formative years obsessively compiling themed playlists and immersing herself in rich participatory subcultures, which gave her an astute sense of media literacy and an eclectic group of friends from across the country. She's committed to using digital media to continue elevating emerging artists and foster engaged online communities. When she's not at a concert, she can be found rustling through the produce selection at her local farmer's market.

Kylie is a 22 year old recent college grad who is ready to put her Marketing + Comms degrees to work helping grow the lovely Tonitruale brand! She’s passionate about supporting indie artists and has a thing for the Aussie music scene (hello triple J and queen Courtney B). She interned at a small music venue at 18, served as Music Director for her college radio station, and knows every line to Almost Famous (it’s all happening!). She is also a slow-fashion advocate, vegan, and crybaby who loves a good craft beer and isn’t afraid to mosh.

İnci is a 20-year-old architecture student at Middle East Technical University, Turkey. Learning things, expressing herself, creating art, listening to music, arguing about movies are some ways that make her soul fulfilled. For a while creating drawings, visuals were some lost causes from her childhood and lately she wants to  feel that magic again like she was 12 & drawing. She is either with friends laughing or alone in her room studying, reading.

My favorite hobbies include listening to music and discovering new artists as well as attending concerts! I am a media studies major at SUNY Oneonta, and I can’t wait to begin writing here! 

My world revolves around music- my moods and my schedule. I’m obsessed with all things indie music. Indie folk, indie rock, indie pop, all of it. I am attending Texas A&M and studying Telecommunication and Media Studies to one day work full time in music. Live music is my passion and it’s my favorite place to be!

 She makes her smoothies using guitar strings and a drumstick. She counts piano keys to go to sleep because her biggest fear is becoming a sheep. She likes seeing live shows because she’s inhaling the same air as her favorite artists through her nose.

Abby is someone who likes to lose herself in music. She believes music is one of the most powerful and inclusive art forms to exist. She will certainly spend the rest of her life exploring its fascinating versatility.

I am Ezgi, a media and visual arts student and as my name suggests, (it means melody in Turkish) also a huge music-lover. I am interested in all things arts, design, cinema and music and tend to create a lot of art based on music i enjoy, which makes Tonitruale the perfect place for me.
