Music is magic, and magic is love, and I love magic as much as I love music. Some days though, the same ol' music ain't as magical- but enter "Lady Lightyear" and all my problems disappear.

"Lady Lightyear" is the hottest new single in your area from Nashville-based three piece Goldpark, and the first single off their sophomore EP due later this year, Goldpark Two. The Tennessee trio is made up of Wes James on vocals, Andrew Smith on guitar, and Kyle Neblett on drums. The band released their debut EP, Goldpark One, back in 2021, and have since built a following for themselves on Spotify, and are making quite the name for themselves in the indie rock scene. The band has found themselves working with such artists as Bre Kennedy on their previous single, "Killer Queen (What I Need)", and was named Lightning 100’s ‘Artist of the Week’.

After the success of their first project, Goldpark has hit the ground running with their new single, "Lady Lightyear," which follows the story of a man who falls in love with a lady who's lightyears away, unbound by time, space, and the reasoning of the natural world. "Lady Lightyear is a song for all of the Milky Way and beyond to enjoy together," the band explained about their new song. "Leave the door open for love somewhere in the stars." The track is bubbly and upbeat, the soft keys and powerful synths clash with Smith's crunchy riffs, with drums from Neblett that drag you by the ankles into each section of the song. James' vocals bring the already ethereal rock ballad to a whole new quadrant of the rock galaxy- believe me, you're going to have this thing stuck in your head for weeks!

"Lady Lightyear" is a must, must, must add to your playlist, and the only way to start the summer off right. Goldpark's second EP, Goldpark Two, is scheduled to release late 2022, but if you just can't wait until then, check out the guys socials down below, or catch them on tour at any of the dates below.
